Listening Instructions:

Focus on the recording entirely, not while doing another task.

Relax in a quiet, comfortable place where you can sit or lie down with your eyes closed, and where you are unlikely to be interrupted. Eliminate distractions (silence your phone, etc.).

Headphones can provide better sound quality and immersion, but are optional. Set a comfortable volume.

The ideal time to listen is when you don’t feel rushed to do something next.

Listen with an open, uncritical, and expectant attitude. Do not judge your ability to relax physically, and maintain a passive attitude toward the wandering mind.

As you listen, actively imagine what the suggestions mean for you. Notice what you visualize, and how you feel emotionally and physically. This does not apply to sleep recordings, with which you can allow your mind to drift.

Listen daily. If deep relaxation is important for you, twice daily is ideal. When results are stable, listen periodically for reinforcement. Relaxation and hypnotic ability improve with practice.

Recordings are not a form of health care, psychotherapy, or counseling. Hypnosis is not a substitute for medical treatments or medications. Results may vary from person to person.
